Uganda fighting Ebola outbreak as it tries to protect tourism

Like so many countries reliant on tourism, Uganda’s economy was devastated by Covid-19. But unlike other countries, Uganda now faces the persistent threat of another outbreak – Ebola.

They are currently battling a strain of Ebola that has killed four people in recent months.

Having learnt the lessons of Covid, the government is now trying to navigate containing the virus while not scaring away tourists.
