UK and India sign major trade deal

Sir Keir Starmer and Narendra Modi have just signed a major trade deal between Britain and India that’s been three years in the making.

The agreement will cut tariffs on products like Scotch whiskey and English gin sent to India, and Indian food and spices shipped to the UK.

It’s expected to add almost five billion pounds a year to the British economy and create thousands of jobs.
