The Met Office is warning of snow and ice across much of England and Wales in the start of the new year.
A yellow warning has been issued for Friday, 2 January, covering much of the West Midlands, Wales and the South of England, including London and Kent. It also covers parts of the North East of England, including Chester and Greater Manchester.
It could see some areas blanketed in snow up to 5cm deep, especially on higher ground in parts of North Wales and north-west England.
