The prime minister told the Chinese president that he wanted to build a "sophisticated relationship" with Beijing to boost the UK economy, signalling a reset after years of strained ties over spying scandals and international tensions.
China has now confirmed that Britons will be able to visit there without needing a visa for trips lasting less than 30 days.
