The number of complaints about automated scam calls made to the data watchdog in September was three times higher than in July, prompting an investigation into the increase.
This follows reports of an uptick in nuisance calls in September, with some people saying they received up to 10 a day.
The Information Commission’s Office is asking people to report when they receive scam calls on its website, so it can understand the true scale. #scamcall #whatsapp #textscam
