UK economy shrinks in October

The UK economy shrunk for a second month in a row in October.

There was a 0.1% decline after a poor month for pubs and restaurants, amid uncertainty ahead of Labour’s budget. It’s the first time it’s shrunk for two consecutive months since the pandemic.
