UK government plans emergency meeting to reassure communities amid UK disorder

The policing minister Diana Johnson has warned there will be further arrests of those involved in far right rioting – as more people appeared in court today to be sentenced.

The Met police chief said fears of far right disorder last night had "abated", while thousands of anti racism protestors staged peaceful gatherings around the country.
