UK has warmest start to May ever, but won't last through bank holiday, says Met Office

The UK has seen its warmest start to May ever, according to the Met Office.
Temperatures reached 28 degrees in London today.

The previous high for May 1st was back in 1990, where Scotland saw 27.4 degrees.

But the warm weather won’t last across the bank holiday weekend, as a weak cold front is due to bring cooler air in from the north – leading to lower temperature
