UK marks VE Day 80th anniversary with two minute silence

A two minute silence has been held across the country to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of the second world war in Europe.

Events are taking place around the UK, including a thanksgiving service at Westminster Abbey attended by King Charles and Queen Camilla, as well as the Prime Minister and other senior politicians and military veterans.
