UK pledges £2.26bn loan to Ukraine to support war effort

A £2.26 billion loan agreement to Ukraine has been signed by Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves.

Both UK and Ukraine leaders were present, as well as Ukraine’s finance minister Sergii Marchenko via video link.

The loan is intended to aid Ukraine’s weapon production in the ongoing war with Russia.
