Shadow policing minister Matt Vickers has said the prime minister and the government need to "succeed in tackling" the violence in the UK riots.
He added: "I welcome the fact that 400 people have been arrested, I welcome the fact we’ve got courts sitting round the clock to make sure people feel the full force of the law as quickly as possible."
