The Organisation of Economic Co-operation and Development, or OECD, said higher tax and spending cuts would curb growth in the UK over the next year – while soaring food prices will push up the cost of living.
The Chancellor has been coming under more pressure to put up taxes – when she gives her autumn Budget statement in November.
