UK signs Chagos islands deal

The UK has signed a deal to hand over the Chagos Islands to Mauritius and lease back a crucial military base there for 101 million pounds a year.

The deal was blocked at the last the minute after a injunction was filed at 2:30 AM this morning.

But a High Court judge overturned the injunction earlier this afternoon.
