UK to pay £570m to rejoin EU’s Erasmus student exchange scheme

The UK is set to rejoin the European Union’s Erasmus student exchange scheme.

Under the deal, known as Erasmus+, young Britons will be able to study or do work placements in the EU from 2027 and vice versa for young Europeans. Rejoining the scheme, which the UK left after Brexit, is expected to cost £570 million.
