ITV News’ Europe Editor James Mates sat down with Russia’s Ambassador the UK, Andrey Kelin, to discuss what compromises his country would be prepared to make – if any – in the pursuit for peace in Ukraine.
It comes as Russia continues to step up the relentless grind of its assault on Ukraine. 170,000 troops have been deployed in a major push for battlefield victory in the east, while more drone strikes hit civilian and energy targets in the north and south.
