The Trump administration said on Tuesday that it would immediately lift its suspension of military aid to Ukraine, and resume intelligence sharing with Kyiv, after talks were held between the US and Ukraine in Saudi Arabia.
Ukraine also said it was open to a 30-day ceasefire in the war with Russia, subject to the Kremlin’s agreement.
A joint statement released by the two nations said "now is the time to begin a process toward lasting peace."
"The United States will immediately lift the pause on intelligence sharing and resume security assistance to Ukraine," the statement reads.
