Russia has launched its largest aerial assault on Ukraine, striking Kyiv and other regions with missiles and drones for a second night in a row, just hours after a major prisoner swap between the two sides.
At least 12 people, including three children, were killed across Ukraine and dozens more injured, officials said.
Russia has stepped up its aerial bombardment as international pressure grows on President Vladimir Putin to agree to a ceasefire.
Ukraine’s President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, released a statement on social media saying, "America’s silence, and the silence of others in the world, only encourages Putin".
