A Ukrainian drone attack has destroyed more than 40 Russian warplanes deep in Russia’s territory, Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) said on Sunday.
The large-scale drone strikes, carried out at four airbases hundreds of miles apart, destroyed multiple combat planes, according to a source in the SBU.
In his evening address, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that 117 drones had been used in the operation, which he personally oversaw.
