Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said he is "ready to move forward" with the framework of a ceasefire deal brokered by the US.
He is now seeking an urgent meeting to work through the outstanding issues with Donald Trump.
But although the US president said tonight that tremendous progress has been made – he insisted he will only meet Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Vladimir Putin when the deal is final, or in its final stages.
