Ukrainian politician shot dead as Russia launches fresh missile attack

Overnight, Russia has once again carried out missile and drone attacks on numerous Ukrainian regions, killing a woman in Zaporizhzhia and injuring dozens more. And in the western city of Lviv, the former speaker of the Ukrainian parliament Andriy Parubiy has been shot dead.

President Zelenskyy described the attack, seemingly carried out by a man dressed as a delivery driver, as a ‘terrible murder’.
