The United Nations Security Council holds an emergency meeting on the Israel-Iran war after the US attacked three Iranian nuclear sites, joining Israel’s air campaign as Tehran promises to retaliate.
Danny Danon, Permanent Representative of Israel to the United Nations is expected to brief the media before the meeting.
UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres will give introductory remarks, followed by briefings by Miroslav Jenca, Assistant Secretary-General for Europe, Central Asia and Americas and IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi
