
With winter approaching, about half a million displaced Gazans are on the road again, returning to what’s left of their homes, trying to rebuild their lives. But it’s risky. Despite a ceasefire, there’s still sporadic fighting. And unexploded bombs litter the vast amount of buildings and roads destroyed across the enclave.
Almost all of the homes in Gaza are damaged or destroyed by the war — experts say 80-90% of structures have been wrecked. All population centers are affected.
