The US strikes on Iran were "a spectacular military success" said president Donald Trump as he pushed for Iran to make peace and threatened further attacks.
Vice president JD Vance later said the aim of the US is not to try and force a regime change in Iran and is focused on destroying their nuclear programme and securing peace.
Some in the United States have criticised Donald Trump’s decision to launch the attacks, including those in Congress and his own MAGA movement.
