Unwanted ‘romantic’ texts and calls are illegal

Text pests are individuals who use personal details given during a business exchange for romantic or sexual propositions. Although illegal, a third of young people received unwanted ‘romantic’ texts or calls from text pests, according to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
