If that were the case, you might expect the Islamic Republic of Iran to rush to the negotiating table, especially after a detailed US peace proposal was presented to them via mediators.
But now Iran’s foreign minister said the US had failed in its war goals – including a quick victory and regime change, and again insisted there were no talks with the United States.
