US and Ukraine sign minerals deal

Ukraine and the US have signed a long-awaited minerals deal which gives America access to Ukraine’s rare earth minerals and establishes a ‘Reconstruction Investment Fund’.

US Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent said it shows the ‘Trump administration is committed to a peace process centred on a free and prosperous Ukraine’.
