The US has for the sixth time vetoed a draft UN resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

All other 14 members of the Security Council voted in favour of the resolution, which also calls for the return of all hostages held by Hamas.
But the US said the resolution failed to sufficiently condemn Hamas or recognize Israel’s right to defend itself.
