The US has launched another round of strikes on Islamic State targets in Syria, following last month’s deadly ambush in Palmyra that killed two American soldiers and a civilian interpreter.

The strikes, carried out with partner forces including Jordan, come as Washington steps up coordination with the new Syrian government, which recently joined the global US-led coalition against IS.
