A birthday book allegedly put together by sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell for the late convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein has been made public by US lawmakers.

It includes messages from Epstein’s friends including Lord Peter Mandelson, the current British ambassador to the US, who in it allegedly describes the sex offender as "my best pal". Alongside the book is an alleged letter from Donald Trump to Epstein. The White House denied the letter was from the President. Lord Mandelson’s spokesman told media he "very much regretted" have been introduced to Epstein.
