That was what the US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth announced will happen on December 3rd, when a former army officer, Nidal Hasan, is scheduled to go before a military firing squad, sentenced to death for shooting 13 army colleagues in 2009.
The move has caused outrage both in the US and around the world. President Trump however has approved the decision.
