Donald Trump has claimed the war against Iran “is very complete” and that Washington is “very far ahead” of his initial four to five week estimated time frame.
“I think the war is very complete, pretty much. They have no navy, no communications, they’ve got no air force,” the US president said in an interview with CBS News.
A few hours later he qualified these comments, saying the US "hadn’t won enough yet".
"We took a little excursion because we felt we had to do that to get rid of some evil, " he said, addressing House Republicans in Miami.
"Then, I think you’ll see it’s going to be a short term excursion."
