US sanctions are a ‘disgrace’ – Albanese

The US has imposed sanctions on the UN special rapporteur on Occupied Palestinian Territories, Francesca Albanese, who has been critical of Israel’s offensive in Gaza.

The US Secretary of State Marco Rubio says Albanese has spearheaded a “campaign of political and economic warfare against the United States and Israel.” The sanctions means she could face travel restrictions in the US and have any assets there frozen.
