US secretary of defence Pete Hegseth has insisted the war against Iran "has only just begun".
Speaking at a news conference in Tampa on Operation Epic Fury, he said: "Iran is hoping that we cannot sustain this, which is a really bad miscalculation. There is no shortage of American will here."
The US had "only just begun to fight and fight decisively", he insisted before adding: "Our timeline is ours and ours alone to control."
