America has sunk an Iranian warship off the coast of Sri Lanka leaving at least 80 people dead.
US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the ship "thought it was safe in International waters instead it was sunk by a torpedo – quiet death".
The Sri Lankan military were able to rescue at least 30 people on board after a distress call was made.
Injured sailors were taken to a nearby hospital.
It comes as the war between the US, Israel and Iran continues to escalate.
