A 19-year-old in New Jersey has been charged with arson in connection with a wildfire that could grow into the largest in the state in nearly two decades.

He is accused of setting fire to wooden pallets and then not putting out the blaze.
The fire has destroyed a large area of pine forest although New Jersey is the US’s most densely populated state and officials have warned the fire could threaten homes.
The blaze has moved swiftly as there has been a months-long drought in the region.
