US woman jailed 30 years over murder attempt

The American citizen Aimee Betro has been sentenced to 30 years in jail for trying to murder a man in the UK.

45 year old Betro travelled to Birmingham in September 2018 and tried to shoot the man dead at point blank range – the judge said it was only fortune that her gun jammed and no one was hurt.
