On June 1, 2025, the UK’s disposable vape ban came into effect making it illegal to sell single-use vapes and allowing only devices that are both rechargeable and refillable on the market.
Vapers are now able to buy similar looking devices to before, but now with a charging port and the ability to change the liquid ‘pods’ within the vapes themselves.
It was partly in an effort to cut waste as disposable vapes are described as one of the most environmentally damaging products ever made, but ITV News has heard from consumers and experts who say the regulations may not go far enough.
