Vietnam: death penalty over $12bn fraud

A Vietnamese property tycoon has lost an appeal against her death sentence for a $12 billion bank fraud.

Truong My Lan’s sentence can only be reduced to life in prison if she can pay back three-quarters of the money which is equivalent to £7 billion.
