Violent disorder in Northern Ireland was 'racist thuggery', say police

Violence has broken out between police and protesters in Northern Ireland where properties have been damaged and missiles have been thrown at officers.

15 officers were injured in disorder following a protest over an alleged sexual assault in Ballymena.

Two 14-year-old boys have been charged with attempted rape in connection with that incident.
