
Chinese tourists visiting Japan have been warned by their embassy to be wary of so-called ‘bumpers’. ‘Bumping’, or Butsukari otoko in Japanese, is a phenomenon where people deliberately walk aggressively into others on the street.

The warning from the Chinese embassy came after a video was posted to Instagram showing a woman ‘bumping’ into a young Chinese tourist on the famous Shibuya crossing in Tokyo. The young girl was sent flying off-camera when a woman elbowed her from behind.
