The Labour government has refused to pay compensation to Waspi women who were impacted by changes to the state pension age.
An investigation by the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman (PHSO) found that thousands of women may have been adversely impacted by the government’s failure to adequately inform them of the change to their retirement age.
The watchdog suggested that women should receive compensation of between £1,000 and £2,950, but the findings were not legally binding.
