Video released by Barnet council in London shows a waste bin exploding as it was loaded into a refuse truck.

The explosion was caused by combustible items such as gas canisters or bottles, wrongly placed in a residential bin, which then exploded when crushed by the lorry. The London borough council said no one was injured
