Andy Burnham is set to address MPs in parliament for the first time since becoming prime minister in July.
The PM is expected to keep the statement on Tuesday broad and optimistic, and address specific themes, including the public control of services and decentralisation of power.
Tuesday’s speech to parliament will also be a chance for MPs across the House to question Burnham on the numerous policies he announced over the summer.
