Sir Ed Davey has refused to rule out joining a coalition government in the next election.
The leader of the Liberal Democrats told Robert Peston he thinks "there is likely to be a hung parliament" after the next election, which is expected no later than August 15 2029.
"I think I’d be the most experienced party leader in that parliament and I think we’d have a a even larger number of Liberal Democrat MP’s in that parliament," he said.
He also told us that his party needed to ‘win the argument’ on rejoining the EU, and balked at Robert’s comparison with Boris Johnson.
