A Hampshire charity that employs dozens of disabled people says it’s fighting for survival – due to delayed payments from the government’s Access to Work Plus scheme. Yateley Industries claims it’s around £150,000 out of pocket – money owed to them since October last year.
New ‘Simpler Recycling’ reforms are being introduced to make it easier – and to improve waste management. Businesses, schools, and hospitals will have to separate recyclables including glass, metal and food waste into designated bins.
And, Lib Dem leader Sir Ed Davey gets on a hobby horse to launch the party’s local election campaign. He says it’s a two horse race as he meets supporters in picturesque Henley-on-Thames.
