The teenager who broke her back in a horse riding accident – and was told she may never walk again. Aliza Rae from Dorset was looked after by staff at Southampton General hospital. She told them that, whether or not she could walk again, she would definitely ride again. And she is!
Lib Dem leader Sir Ed Davey gets on a hobby horse to launch the party’s local election campaign. He says it’s a two horse race as he meets supporters in the South.
And, a much loved water sports centre in Christchurch harbour – closed during the pandemic – is back in action thanks to local fundraising. The Hengistbury Head Outdoor Activity Centre has been handed over to community groups – but more still needs to be done.
