The former top official at the Foreign Office, Sir Olly Robbins, is giving evidence to MPs after he was sacked over the vetting of Lord Mandelson before he became US ambassador.
Sir Olly will have a chance to respond to the Prime Minister, who blamed the him for "deliberately" keeping him in the dark over Lord Mandelson’s failure to pass security checks.
Sir Keir said in his appearance in the Commons on Monday afternoon that the Government was investigating security concerns relating to Lord Mandelson’s time as US ambassador.
