The weekend brought a number of significant developments in Gaza and internationally.
Most notably, the World Health Organisation claimed the al Shifa hospital was not functioning and had seen a "significant increase" in patient fatalities;
Twelve people had died at Gaza’s biggest hospital due to electricity running out and dwindling medical supplies, a Palestinian health minister said. Two newborn babies were among the dead, said Dr Mai al Kalia, who is based in the West Bank and not backed by Hamas.
Israel claimed again that Hamas fighters were hiding among civilians and storing weapons near hospitals in order to maximise civilian casualties – a claim the militant group said was an excuse for the IDF to deliberately target innocent Gazans.
