Sir Keir Starmer has called Donald Trump’s remarks about British troops in Afghanistan ‘insulting and frankly appalling’ and suggested he should apologise.
Last night he wrongly claimed Nato soldiers weren’t on the frontline during Operation Enduring Freedom which followed the Twin Tower attacks in 2001.
