In a sit-down interview with Robert Peston, Shabana Mahmood has said that Nigel Farage can "sod off".
Her comments came after the Reform UK leader reacted to the Home Secretary’s changes on the system, saying that Mahmood "auditioned to join Reform".
Earlier today, the Home Secretary unveiled measures designed to "tackle the pull factors that draw people into this country".
The asylum system reforms include deporting families and children of failed asylum seekers.
It’s prompted an angry backlash from within the Labour Party with one MP telling the Commons it was "shameful" and "cruel".
